Meet Julia, the visionary founder of Union Jacks, who has redefined the salon experience. Her journey began with a frustration born from past salon experiences that prioritised quantity over quality. In those environments, she felt the weight of rushing through salon clients, akin to a conveyor belt, and her skills seemed compromised. She believed her clients deserved more than just a rushed service. With a burning desire to provide an elevated experience, Julia set out to create Union Jacks, where every client is treated with the utmost care and attention. Julia has assembled a dedicated team who share her commitment to prioritising artistry over haste, ensuring that each client's visit is a luxurious and unhurried experience.

Hailing from the United Kingdom, Julia boasts an impressive 30 years of experience and has attained the highest level of accreditation within the industry. With a background as a former hairdressing teacher and college assessor, coupled with her salon management expertise, Julia brings a wealth of knowledge to her craft. Her true passion is providing practical and realistic solutions tailored to each client's unique needs and desires. Having retired from the salon floor at the end of 2023, Julia's focus is in her new venture the 'Ultimate Results Consult'

Joanne

Grand Master Stylist

Available Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & one Saturday per month

Joanne, boasting two decades of experience in the hairdressing industry, has undergone extensive training in contemporary hairdressing techniques. She holds a Level 3 certificate and has participated in training programs with industry leaders such as Loreal and De Lorenzo. With a strong foundation in salon management and staff training, Joanne's excellence shines through in her dedication to customer care. Her genuine passion lies in achieving the desired results for her valued clients.

Marie

Master Stylist

Available Thursday (late), Friday (late) and every other Saturday a month.

Marie is best described as enthusiastic, motivated, and proactive. With two decades of experience in the hairdressing industry, she has honed a multitude of essential skills, culminating in her co-ownership of a thriving salon in the heart of Sydney's CBD. Despite leaving the hustle and bustle of city life behind, Marie has seamlessly integrated into the warm and welcoming community of Frenchs Forest, forging strong connections with her cherished clients. Her exceptional listening skills are at the forefront of her customer-centric approach, as she takes pride in delivering nothing short of the finest experiences. Marie's true passion lies in the art of coloring and creating striking haircuts that leave a lasting impression.

Gemma

Master Stylist

Available Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday

Hailing from the United Kingdom, Gemma initiated her hairdressing journey on the outskirts of London. Fueled by a keen eye for detail and an unwavering determination to attain the highest level of accreditation, Gemma proudly holds an advanced Level 3 UK hairdressing qualification.

A true perfectionist at heart, she passionately expresses, "I've had a passion for hair from my earliest memories. What brings joy to the client brings joy to me."

Over the past decade, Gemma has surrounded herself with experienced stylists, continually evolving and perfecting her craft. Her unwavering commitment to detail is a hallmark of her work. With a deep-rooted passion for cutting and styling, Gemma finds particular delight in creating stunning curly blow drys.

Katt

Senior Stylist

Available Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday

Katt's journey into the world of hairdressing began at a young age, where she discovered her undeniable passion for the craft. She successfully completed her apprenticeship with remarkable proficiency in September 2020, ensuring she is well-versed in contemporary and pertinent hairdressing techniques. As a proud graduate stylist from Union Jacks, Caitlin relishes the opportunity to continually expand her skill set and deepen her expertise.

Caitlin's true artistry shines when it comes to creative color techniques. With her extraordinary painting skills, she has the ability to metamorphose clients' hair, turning it from a blank canvas into a true masterpiece!

Zara

Emerging Stylist

Available for root tint, all over colours, blow dries, keratin services and long hair cuts. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Zara embarked on her hairdressing journey as a 1st-year apprentice with us in October 2019. Since then, she has successfully achieved the Cert 3 Hairdressing qualification at TAFE. Zara's remarkably friendly nature adds a warm and caring touch to her approach in meeting her clients' needs. She has gained recognition for her exceptional talent in styling, particularly in delivering impeccable blow dry results. Additionally, Zara is nurturing a growing passion for fashion-forward color techniques. Beyond her own clientele, Zara also plays a significant role in supporting our team of stylists, making her an invaluable asset to our salon.

Siobhan

Apprentice

Siobhan embarked on a courageous journey, leaving her former career as a nurse to follow her passion for the hair industry. Her dedicated enthusiasm, coupled with a natural ability to nurture and care for people, is the foundation of her approach. Siobhan's unwavering attention to detail is truly remarkable. She consistently garners five-star reviews for her exceptional scalp massages, cementing her reputation as an up-and-coming hairstylist with a promising future.
